HELEN'S Cafe in Lye has closed its doors.
The cafe, in the High Street, which celebrated its one-year anniversary in May, has shut up shop but boss Helen Robinson has assured customers the business is not gone for good and will be relocating to new premises soon.
She said on Facebook that it "wasn't an easy decision - just no trade" in the High Street.
Ward councillor Vanessa Wale said it was a "shame" the cafe had closed.
When quizzed about the state of the High Street, which residents say needs action to clean up the litter and stop groups congregating and intimidating passersby, she said "we're trying our best to do everything we can" for the town.
A member of the Lye and Wollescote Action Group recently described Lye as a "ghetto" and said: "What once use to feel and smell like Broad Street in the evenings now reminds me of sewer city in Judge Dredd."
