ARTISTS in Redditch will be opening the doors of their studios to the public this bank holiday weekend.
The move is part of Worcestershire Open Studios, which runs from August 23 to 26.
Now in its fifth year, the county’s largest free art event invites visitors to go behind normally closed doors to see the inside of artists’ studios and shared spaces and to talk to them about how they make their work.
Participating artists include Roger Ricketts, a mixed media painter based in Redditch, Lighthouse Glass showing jewellery and lampwork in Redditch, Edgiock Glass showing kiln-fired glass in Redditch, painter John R Harris in Inkberrow and Kingcot Gallery in nearby Flyford Flavel.
More studios will be open in nearby Bromsgrove and Hanbury.
Entry to all venues is free and some artists will also be offering visitors the opportunity to watch demonstrations and have a go at their art form.
There are more than 180 artists at 83 locations around the county to visit.
