DUDLEY Little Theatre will kick off its 73rd season this month with Amanda Whittington's comedy Ladies' Day.

The play will hit the stage at Netherton Arts Centre from Wednesday September 11 until September 14, and tells the story of four fish workers from Hull who escape their mundane lives by splashing out on a day at the races.

The drama group have promised a play that is 'extremely funny and thought provoking'.

A spokesperson from the group said: "To quote one of the characters in the play, Ladies' Day will ‘warm the cockles of your heart’. It will also have you laughing until your sides ache!"
