A WOMAN was punched in the face three times after intervening when a group made racist comments on a train to Stourbridge.
British Transport Police have released an appeal following reports of racist comments and an assault on a train travelling to Stourbridge from Worcester.
A large group of men and women, who had been at a festival in Worcester, are reported to have been making racist comments.
A passenger intervened and asked them to stop and she was threatened by a woman in the group.
When the victim went to leave the train at Stourbridge Junction, a woman from the group punched her in the face three times.
The victim suffered two black eyes and swelling in the attack, which happened on Saturday August 10 at around 8.20pm.
Anyone who recognises the woman in the image is asked to contact the British Transport Police by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40 and quoting reference number 591 of 10/08/19.
