THREE new independent businesses are set to open at the Waterfront, as part of the regeneration of the area's leisure spots.

29 new jobs are set to be created when the three new businesses are launched over the coming months.

The three venues, Dr Eamer’s Gin Emporium, Ten Steps Coffee, and live entertainment bar Red By Night will add to the leisure offering at the Waterfront, following on from the successful launch of The Garrison Peaky Blinders themed bar last year.

Dr Eamers' Distillery Bar opens next month and is the debut bar to be opened by the Netherton-based gin making family business, which will offer classes, demonstrations and Black Country tapas.

It will joined by new entertainment venue Red By Night, which is due to open over the Autumn. The venue will showcase local talent and will host all genres of music, comedy and the arts alongside open mic nights.

This month will also see the opening of family-run Ten Steps Coffee Lounge which will serve freshly brewed premium types of coffee, hot drinks, vegan treats and baked goodies.

Jaspal Singh, asset surveyor at intu Merry Hill said: “The Waterfront is one of the treasures of our centre and we’re really excited about its continued growth as a leisure destination for our customers. Our shoppers have been really positive so far and we are looking forward to continuing to share more about the announcements and events we’ve got lined up in the near future."

intu Merry Hill has ploughed £100 million of investment into the Waterfront in a bid to see it become a major leisure destination.
