CRADLEY Heath has been hit by flooding and a lack of running water due to a burst main.

The burst took place close to Cradley Heath railway station this morning (Wednesday January 8).

Eyewitness reports say the car park of the railway station has been flooded and homes have been affected.

South Staffordshire Water has confirmed a team are on site to fix the problem.

Dudley Council said work to repair the damaged road surface will be "managed using two-way temporary traffic signals rather than a closure."

Project engineer Jill Wakeman said: "Delays should therefore be anticipated and drivers are advised to seek an alternative route where possible.

"Updates will be sent out when received."
