A DRIVER was arrested on suspicion of a string of offences following a police chase by car and foot.
Police pursued a car through the streets of Brierley Hill after spotting it being driven dangerously on wet roads last night (January 8).
Officers pursued the car to Brockmoor where they signalled for the car to stop.
Ignoring the signal, the driver sped away before hitting a kerb, police said.
The car was then pursued to Bull Street, where the driver and passenger ran away on foot after discovering they were at a dead end.
Police chased the pair before arresting the driver, a man, on suspicion of theft of motor vehicle, dangerous driving, failing to stop, possession of cannabis and driving without a licence or insurance.
The driver remains in custody and the vehicle has been seized.
