A NEW Black Country amateur theatre group is promising a night of comedy as it gets set to stage its second outing.

Stourbridge Writers and Actors Group, known as SWAG, is staging Eating Out - A Night At The Palace - at Gig Mill Church Hall, Glebe Lane, Norton, Stourbridge, on Friday January 24 and Saturday January 25.

The group was founded at the end of 2018 by Sean Harris, David Robertson and Simon Faux with the aim of producing new and original material for Stourbridge theatre fans.

Following the success of their first production Downside Abbey - the group is now set to stage a brand new comedy, written by local playwright Peter Williams and directed by Sean Harris, about new restaurant The Palace where a clueless, owner/manager and a grumpy head waiter try to manage a peculiar mix of customers on a woefully understaffed Saturday evening.

Tickets cost £5 and they are now on sale. To book call 07498 309612, or email Stourbridge.wag@gmail.com.
