A WOMAN died at a house in Halesowen despite the efforts of medics who fought to save her.

Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service were called to reports of a woman suffering a cardiac arrest at the house in Downing Street at around 5.33pm on Saturday (January 11).

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of a cardiac arrest at a property in Downing Street, Halesowen at 5.33pm on Saturday 11th January.

"Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and a critical care car attended and administered advanced life support to a woman.

"Sadly, despite their best efforts, nothing could be done to save her and she was confirmed dead a short time later on scene."

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said officers attended the incident, but they are not treating it as suspicious.
