AN air ambulance landed on the grounds of a Dudley secondary school this morning (Monday, February 10).

A helicopter from RAF Cosford landed on the field at Pegasus Academy on Scotts Green Close while responding to a medical incident at a house on nearby Woodside Road.

Medics treated a man for injuries not believed to be life-threatening and he was taken to hospital in a land ambulance for further treatment.

A spokesperson from West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called by the police at 7:53am to a medical incident at a residential property on Woodside Road in Dudley. An ambulance, paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford attended the scene. Crews treated one patient, a man, for injuries not believed to be life threatening. He was taken by land ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham for further treatment.”
