EMERGENCY services rushed to a 'concern for welfare' at the Bournemouth Big Wheel in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Police, paramedics, coastguard officials and RNLI volunteers were called out at around 2am after an incident near the seafront.
A spokesperson from Dorset Police said officers were contacted by the ambulance service.
"Paramedics reported a concern for the welfare of a man," the official said.
"Officers attended. The man was taken to hospital by the ambulance service to receive appropriate care."
