A SUPERMARKET petrol station has had to close after a suspected burglary in the early hours.
Police received a report of a suspected break-in at the Tesco Superstore petrol station, in Northgate, Cleckheaton, just after midnight today (0.06am).
Tesco responded to someone on social media website, Twitter, to say the garage was closed as a result of the crime.
The post said: "Unfortunately the filling station at our Cleckheaton Superstore is an active crime scene as there was a robbery there last night.
"I can't give you a date for it reopening until the police have finished their investigations and it's been repaired."
Damage was reported to have been caused to a door and an alarm was activated, according to a West Yorkshire Police spokesperson.
Security guards were also in attendance.
Enquiries have continued there this morning.
