AN INQUEST into the death of a man killed when the van he was driving crashed with a bus in Rowley Regis has been opened.
Bret Dance, aged 36, was killed in the crash in Dudley Road, near The Cock Inn, last November.
Medics fought to save the father-of-three, but sadly nothing could be done and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
An inquest was opened and adjourned at the Black Country Coroners' Court in Oldbury last Wednesday (February 26).
At the hearing a date was set for the full inquest which will be held on April 27 this year, after the outcome of the police investigation.
Police have been investigating the crash which also saw the bus driver and two elderly passengers suffer injuries.
Wellwishers raised more than £4k for Mr Dance's family after a Justgiving appeal was set up by Deanna Baker.
It smashed its £1.5k target to help his three children who were aged 12, 4, and 11-months at the time of his death.
