A MAN in his 20s was taken to hospital after he was found with injuries in Pensnett High Street.

Emergency services were called just before 9pm on Thursday (March 19).

Medics found a man who had suffered head and leg injuries.

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to High Street, Pensnett, at 8.52pm to reports of an assault.

"One ambulance and one paramedic officer attended.

"We treated one man for multiple injuries.

"They were potentially serious and he was taken to hospital for further treatment."

West Midlands Police said officers were trying to establish exactly what happened and said the man's injuries turned out not to be serious.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "We were called after a man was found in High Street, Pensnett, with head and leg injuries at around 8.45pm on Thursday March 19.

"The man, aged in his 20s, was not seriously injured and officers are trying to contact him to obtain further information.
