PEOPLE across the Black Country are invited to once more show their appreciation to the NHS and front line workers this evening when Clap For Our Carers returns.

The nationwide Clap For Our Carers returns tonight at 8pm, after last Thursday's moving spectacle saw households across the nation applaud those risking their lives in the fight against coronavirus.

Organisers hope the event tonight will see even more people show their appreciation for the NHS and will be another chance for the nation to unite during this difficult time.

Last week, moving scenes took place across Dudley, Stourbridge and Halesowen as people took to their porch, street and balconies to show their gratitude to those working to keep us safe during the crisis.

Our readers took to our social media pages to share how their community came together to back the event.

TJ Jenkinson said: "Wrens Nest was out and it was lovely. Fireworks, clapping and cheering. Thank you NHS and all of you on the frontline."

Karen Dudfield said: "We did it Foxyards Estate and I’ll say it again a great big THANK YOU NHS for everything you are doing for us."

In Stourbridge, Irene Pinches said: "Churchward Close, Stourbridge. We were out supporting our wonderful NHS and all front line workers."

Helen Morris added: "Amblecote Road, I was clapping and crying at the same time, very emotional seeing people come out to support the NHS."

Sue Morgan said: "Timbertree Road Cradley Heath, everybody was out! Brilliant."

Francesca Heath added: "Hurst Green did us proud."

Get clapping tonight to show your appreciation for our NHS heroes and share your videos and photos with us.
