A MAN has been charged after allegedly breaking into the bar in Dudley Zoo.
The suspect allegedly gained access to the Castle Hill attraction and was found in the restaurant area drinking beer.
The incident happened on Tuesday, March 31, just over a week since the zoo closed its doors to the public due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Richard Perry, aged 44, of no fixed address, has been charged with burglary and contravening a restriction of movement during an emergency period.
The latter law was introduced by the government last month to help enforce social distancing rules in a bid to curb the Covid-19 outbreak.
