KIND staff at Wilko in Dudley are donating care packages to staff working at Russells Hall Hospital during the pandemic.

The team at the town centre store are delivering everyday items such as toothpaste, shower gel, sanitary products and tights to NHS staff who are working around the clock to help patients.

The items are to help workers who are unable to return home or who are staffing isolation wards during the Covid-19 crisis.

Jerome Saint-Marc, wilko CEO, said: “We know that this crisis is hitting those who were already vulnerable, the hardest, which is why we’re focusing much of our community work particularly on key workers and their families.

"Our Dudley team has worked hard to compile these items for NHS staff in the area and we all hope this small gesture from us helps make local key workers’ incredibly busy schedules at least a little more manageable.

“We’re incredibly proud of and thankful to our team members across the entire business who have done a phenomenal job in ensuring hardworking families have access to the products they need and we appreciate the extra mile they’re going here to support local causes and communities throughout the UK.”
