A ROWLEY REGIS balti is offering a discount to NHS staff as a way of saying thank you to frontline workers.
The Hailstone balti and tandoori on Sprinfield Close is offering NHS workers a 25 per cent discount as well as free meals to the over 70s who are self-isolating.
It has also delivered 80 meals to staff at Russells Hall Hospital who are working on the frontline of the fight against Covid-19 in the borough.
The restaurant has been open for five years on the site of the former Hailstone pub.
Owner Wahidun Rahman, aged 51, said: "We wanted to show our appreciation to the NHS heroes who are working so hard during this pandemic and give something back.
"It's the least we could do."
The married father-of-three said NHS staff just have to show their card for the discount.
Deliveries are free - telephone orders can be made on 0121 559 5550 or people can phone an order and then collect it from the restaurant.
It has been open four days a week throughout the pandemic and is now open six days a week, closing only on Tuesdays.
