A 12-YEAR-OLD suspected burglar was hurt when he was bitten by a police dog in Halesowen.

The youth was one of three boys arrested by police after being chased by police dog Romeo and found hiding in a bush in Manor Lane.

They were arrested after a break-in in Highmoor Road, Rowley Regis, in the early hours of today (Monday June 29) in which a Volkswagen was stolen.

The car was later seen in Bournbrook Crescent, Halesowen, where an eagle-eyed member of public spotted three boys acting suspiciously.

Officers arrived and the group fled down Carters Lane, but minutes later police dog Romeo (pictured below) tracked the teens to Manor Lane, where they were found hiding in a bush.
