A MAN spat in a police officer's face after being arrested in Dudley town centre.
The male reportedly spat in a police car and in an officer's face after being detained for an assault on Sunday afternoon (July 26).
He was then further arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and assaulting a police officer.
Dudley Town Police tweeted: "The team's officers have arrested a male this afternoon for an assault in the town centre. Male then spat in the police vehicle on the way to custody and then spat in an officer's face whilst being placed into a cell van.
"Further arrested for criminal damage and assault police."
