A CORONER has recorded a verdict of suicide following the death of a teaching assistant who was found hanged at her Netherton home.

Julie Hutchinson, aged 50, was admitted to Russells Hall Hospital in the early hours of June 19 after she was found hanging at her home in Stadium Drive, Black Country Coroner's Court was told.

Police and paramedics attended Mrs Hutchinson's address and CPR was carried out en route to the hospital where she was taken to the intensive care unit. However, she passed away a week later on June 26.

The coroner confirmed the cause of death as hypoxic brain injury due to hanging and she concluded Mrs Hutchinson's death was suicide.
