Armed police stormed a house in Pinehurst this morning and arrested a man in connection with a stabbing over the weekend.
Wiltshire Police said a 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm. He remains at Gablecross police station.
Police swooped on a house in Beech Avenue at around 6am. The road was shut as armed police and detectives swarmed the house.
It follows a stabbing in Shalbourne Close, Penhill, on Sunday night. A woman in her 40s was left with a life-changing hand injury. She has since been discharged from hospital.
