The event began at Rosebank Gardens where Neil, Mark and Sarah met with the Chair of Trustees, Chris Kirk and Chief Officer Jacci Philips from Community Action, a Malvern Charity which organised invaluable support for those who were self-isolating, in the form of shopping and taking them to appointments.

Kathy Leather and Mandi Bradley, representatives from Malvern’s Marvellous Makers also came along to show the Mayor, Mark and Sarah the masks and scrubs they had made for the NHS when there was a huge shortage of these items.

The High Sheriff was gifted one of the masks which had been made by this group to raise money for Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven.

They then went to meet with Sean Austin, at his shop Austin & Co. in Church Street. During lockdown, Sean created the social media page ‘Malvern Delivers’, which helped both traders and local residents by providing a platform to advertise and access businesses which were offering delivery services.
