A NEW drive-thru coffee shop looks set to be coming to Merry Hill after plans were submitted to Dudley Council.
An application for a drive-thru coffee shop on Times Square Avenue has been submitted by Euro Garages Ltd, of Blackburn.
The site is owned by Asda - near where its click and collect operation is, next to Asda's petrol station.
There would be seating inside the cafe as well as a drive-thru hatch.
The application states: "The development site is currently undeveloped hard standing.
"It has previously been used as a car wash facility which has since been demolished."
It goes on: "The proposed development will provide a new drive-thru coffee shop and an additional 18 formal parking spaces within the existing retail park site, adjacent to the ASDA Petrol Filling Station (PFS)
"The existing ASDA Click and Collect facility will be relocated as part of the development proposals.
"Overall, the proposals will represent an additional facility to users of the wider retail site and on the basis of the above assessment it is considered that there are no outstanding reasons why the development should not be granted planning permission."
The application was registered on September 16 and will be considered by planners.
Designs submitted by Euro Garages, drawn up by Jennings Designs, show what the one-storey building would look like and where it would be.
Plans can be viewed on Dudley Council's planning website, under application number P20/1019
