AN OLDBURY primary school is inviting parents to its open evenings this week.

Perryfields Primary is holding open evenings for parents of reception age pupils today (Monday September 28) and on Thursday (October 1) from 4pm till 6pm.

A 30-minute slot can be booked via the school office on 0121 422 2848.

The school in Apsley Road is now two-form entry and has spaces available in reception.

All visits to the school will be following government guidelines of social distancing, hand sanitising, and with the wearing of masks by all staff and visitors.

Perryfields Reception and Early Years provision was rated Good by Ofsted in June 2018, and continues to receive praise from parents.

Harpreet Johal, whose daughter Meghan is now in Year 1 at Perryfields, said: “My daughter absolutely loves going to school and that is down to the fantastic teaching staff at Perryfields who have helped her settle in.

"The quality of teaching is second to none with emphasis on not just good results, but in helping my daughter grow and develop into a confident capable happy child. "They always answer my questions and are very helpful with any queries or questions that I may have.

"My daughter learns a lot of things which I can see in her progress."
