RESCUED dogs obviously need a bit of loving care – but how about Tinder-style dating?
A West Midlands dog rescue group have come up with the idea of giving their dogs a bit of a makeover (digitally speaking).
So meet, for instance, the recently widowed Carol looking for a 'pawsome' lover.
Or Nell, the retired pole dancer who still likes to 'give it a whirl'.
And then there’s Ernie, the retired police officer who enjoys high speed car rides, or Ted, the vegan into 'green peace'.
These and their friends are starring in a Doggie Dating Calendar created to help raise awareness and funds for Monarch’s Mutts dog rescue group.
Based at Halesowen and taking dogs from all over Dudley and North Worcestershire, the group of volunteers are worried that there will be a surge of abandoned dogs this winter because of lockdown.
So the 2021 Monarch’s Matchmakers calendar is timed to try to help counter that.
