A MAN is in custody after a pub was hit by armed robbers in Kidderminster.

Terrified diners hid under tables as three masked robbers armed with bats and Tasers emptied the till at the Mare and Colt on the Worcester Road in Summerfield on Monday night (October 26).

A woman in the pub at the time, who asked to remain anonymous, said the men threatened to "smash the place up" and hit the bar with a bat as they demanded that staff hand over money from the till.

A man from Birmingham has since been arrested in connection with the robbery and remains in police custody.
