A MAN from Halesowen has been charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm following an altercation outside a pub in Oldbury.
A man in his 40s remains in hospital in a serious condition after sustaining a head injury in a disorder near the Phoenix pub in Martley Road last Saturday.
Thomas Matthews was arrested on Wednesday. The 28-year-old, of Bredon Court, Halesowen, has since been charged with inflicting grevious bodily harm without intent.
He appeared at a virtual court hearing on Thursday and was remanded in custody to appear before Wolverhampton Crown Court on November 26.
Police are appealing to anyone who was in Martley Road at around 9.10pm on Saturday.
