TESCO stores in Cradley Heath, Stourbridge and Dudley have re-opened their non-essential mezzanine floors.
The upper floors of multi-level Tesco superstores where clothes, homewares and electricals are sold, had been closed off since the new lockdown came into effect on November 5.
But today (Saturday November 14) the retail giant said it has re-opened them in all its stores.
A Tesco spokesperson said: “Our mezzanine levels are now open again for customers in all our stores.”
The move had caused confusion for many customers, with some questioning the wisdom of closing off areas selling clothes and other items, when the new lockdown came into effect, especially as other chains had not taken the same decision.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson imposed a four-week lockdown in England on November 5, and ordered that all non-essential businesses should close.
