A GUN was fired in a 'violent disorder' in Netherton.

The shocking incident, which police believe was a targeted attack, took place in Knowle Hill Road just after 5pm yesterday, (Saturday November 14).

Police said men armed with 'baseball bats and crowbars' smashed up cars and fired a gun.

Officers have been searching the area and carrying out house to house enquiries.

They appealed for witnesses to get in touch.

A spokeswoman for West Midlands Police said: “We are investigating reports of violent disorder in Knowle Hill Road, Netherton, Dudley on Saturday (November 14) just after 5pm.

“Four vehicles were damaged by men with baseball bats and crowbars and a firearm was discharged.

“The men made off in three vehicles and no-one is reported to have been injured.

“We believe this was a targeted attack and officers are now searching the area and conducting house-to-house enquiries to hear witness accounts and retrieve CCTV of the incident.
