THEY might not have got quite as far as 1000 kilometres in a day, but one pair of Stourbridge fitness fans certainly reached their ambitious cash target.
In fact Connor McManus and Jaz Singh hit an amazing £5,010 with their gym challenge to raise money for mental health charity MIND.
The pair, 27 and 30 respectively, are personal trainers who run Collective Fitness, based at Cross Fit Neon at Amblecote.
The pair set out to row and run 100km each in 12 hours, in bursts of 5km each.
And with the help of around 20 family, friends or clients doing slots as well, they managed to rack up more than 850kms between them.
Connor, from Old Swinford, said they had always believed that physical exercise can have a major impact on people’s mental health and overall wellbeing and that had been particularly shown during this year.
They have been shut down during lockdown, but are developing an app which Connor describes as ‘a personal trainer in your pocket.’
They also hope to open their own premises next year.
