A MAN was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs after a police chase in Netherton.
The man, who had a large amount of cannabis, cash and a knuckle duster, sped off from police and then abandoned his Nissan Micra and ran off through gardens.
He was caught by officers from C unit at Brierley Hill and arrested on suspicion of intent to supply drugs, failing to stop, dangerous driving and possession of an offensive weapon yesterday afternoon (Sunday January 10).
Police constable Jamie Follows said: "We saw the pictured vehicle driving at high speed in Netherton.
"We signalled to the driver to stop however he refused and drove dangerously.
"We pursued the vehicle until the driver abandoned it, he was detained following a lengthy foot chase through gardens.
"He was found in possession of a knuckle duster, a large amount of cash and a large amount of cannabis.
"He was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop, dangerous driving, possession of an offensive weapon and possession with intent to supply drugs.
"We seized the uninsured car under the road traffic and the male remains in custody at this time."
