A 37-YEAR-OLD man has been released on police bail while enquiries continue after being arrested by armed officers in Sedgley on charges including attempted murder.
West Midlands Police confirmed they arrested a man on suspicion of failing to stop for police, dangerous driving, attempted murder and possession of firearms with intent to supply after firearms officers were dispatched to Kennedy Crescent, Sedgley, in the early hours of Sunday (February 14).
Officers located and arrested the man after a police car chase which began in Castle Gate, Dudley, and a police spokesman said: "The driver abandoned the car in Kennedy Crescent, Sedgley, and made off into a block of flats. Firearms officers were deployed as the man was thought to be wanted for firearms offences."
The 37-year-old was released on police bail while enquiries continue.
