A MAN has appeared in court charged with conspiracy to murder in connection with the death of Dudley taxi firm boss Mohammed Haroon Zeb.

Mr Zeb, known as Haroon, was shot on his doorstep in Queens Cross, Dudley, during the early hours of January 31 and later died in hospital.

Police confirmed last week that they had arrested and charged 25-year-old Akarsh Tasleem from Dudley with conspiracy to commit murder in connection with the death and on Friday (February 19) he appeared before magistrates at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court.

Tasleem, of Shaw Road, was remanded in custody to await trial and the case has been sent to Wolverhampton Crown Court where the defendant is due to appear on March 19.

Hassan Tasleem, aged 23, of Richmond Road, appeared before Wolverhampton Crown Court last Monday (February 15) charged with murdering popular businessman and dad Mr Zeb, who ran Midland Taxis in Brierley Hill.

He was remanded in custody until a plea hearing, scheduled for Friday April 23.
