POLICE have urged people to keep an eye out for this silver VW Golf which they say was used by offenders involved in the theft of a catalytic converter in Netherton.

Three offenders approached a Honda Jazz car parked on a driveway on Saltwells Road and removed the catalytic converter from underneath before making their escape in a silver VW Golf on a 2006 registration plate.

Officers from Brierley Hill Police Station attended the scene of the incident which happened yesterday (Tuesday March 30) just before 2pm but they were unable to locate the offenders.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said afterwards: "The men are alleged to have driven towards a member of the public at low speed before leaving the scene, before reversing into another member of the public’s car, causing minor damage."

Police are now asking members of the public to report any suspicious activity or if they see the vehicle which is believed to have had false registration plates and heavily tinted front and rear windows.
