TWO uninsured vehicles have been seized in Dudley by police.

Whilst on patrol last night (March 30) officers from Brierly Hill Police Station stopped a car that narrowly avoided a collision with an ambulance responding to an emergency. The driver was using his mobile phone and drove through a red light.

Officers established the car had no valid tax or insurance, so seized the car and reported the driver to court.

A second vehicle was then seized as the driver failed to stop when driving recklessly. The driver abandoned his car, leaving the engine running. Officers found open beer cans on the driver seat.

The team seized the uninsured car which is notified off road and are making enquiries with the registered keeper.
