A MAIN route into Stourbridge is to be closed overnight each night this week while repairs are carried out on the railway bridge.
The A458 Stourbridge Road will be temporarily closed to traffic between Timmis Road and Stambermill Close overnight only, from Tuesday May 4 until Saturday May 8.
The closure will start at 10.30pm each night and continue through until 6am the following morning, ending at 6am on Saturday May 8.
Traffic travelling in a clockwise direction will be diverted via Stourbridge Road, Lye By-Pass, Pedmore Road, Grange Road, Ham Lane, Hagley Road, New Road, Bath Road, St John’s Road, Birmingham Street and Stourbridge Road.
The alternative route for traffic travelling in an anti-clockwise direction will be via Stourbridge Road, Birmingham Street, St Johns Road, Hagley Road, Ham Lane, Grange Lane, Pedmore Road, Lye By-Pass, and Stourbridge Road/
The closure has been scheduled to enable repairs to be carried out safely to the railway bridge near Lye.
Access to properties and for emergency services will be maintained where safe.
