POLICE have seized an uninsured van in Netherton.

Officers from Brierley Hill police station spotted the van and the driver parked up and walked away.

A spokesperson for Brierley Hill C team said: "We stopped him [the driver] and he provided his details. We were not convinced and arranged for a fingerprint device to be brought to us.

"We warned the driver that if we could not confirm his details then he would be arrested.

"The driver then provided his true name and it transpired that he did not hold a driving licence."

The van has been seized under the road traffic act and driver reported to court.
