Bodenham Arboretum is looking forward to the return of the Plant Hunters’ Fair this Saturday (May 15).

The fair was originally due to run on Easer Sunday this year but was cancelled due to lockdown restrictions.

Janet Blow, from Plant Hunters’ Fair said: “Based on the small number of events that we have run since coming out of lock down there is a big demand with the public to get out to garden related events at the moment and it’s been really exciting to be able to start up again after such a long layoff from gardening events.

“This plant fair attracts the best and most interesting nurseries with a fabulous mix of easy-to-grow garden favourites and those rarer, more unusual plants to tempt the connoisseur. If you need some advice to help you choose then there are nursery folk on hand to help, each an expert in their field with years of knowledge and experience, and full of helpful tips. Now’s the time to spruce up your garden ready for the summer!”

The lakeside restaurant will be open serving hot and cold drinks and snacks using produce from the arboretum’s own farm.

The fair will run from 9am to 4pm.

Organisers have made the decision to make the fair ticket only due to capacity restrictions.

Tickets are £1 and can be purchased from planthuntersfairs.co.uk.
