DUDLEY Castle is once again set to provide the backdrop for the outdoor screening of three movie classics this summer.

The Greatest Showman (PG) will be shown at Dudley Zoo and Castle on Thursday August 5, followed by blockbuster dinosaur movie Jurassic Park (PG) the following evening (Friday August 6) and cult classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show (12A) on Saturday August 7.

DZC marketing manager Andrea Hales said: “Our open-air cinema events have proved really popular in previous years and we’re delighted to be able to provide more great evenings of outdoor entertainment in the grounds of the 11th century castle this summer.

“We do urge those wanting tickets to book them as soon as possible as from past experience these events sell out quickly and due to Covid restrictions there will be a reduced capacity to normal.”

The zoo has teamed up with Derby-based QUAD to host the screenings.

Tickets cost £17.50 each and are available online at dudleyzoo.org.uk or by calling the zoo office on 01384 215313.

Doors open at 7pm each evening, with the films starting at 9.30pm.

Filmgoers are advised the events will go ahead whatever the weather.

There will also be hot food and a licensed bar available on site, but movie-goers can bring their own picnic, chairs and blankets.
