A MAN from Dudley has been handed a community order after stealing a car and house keys.

James Reay of Laurel Road pleaded guilty to stealing a Mercedes and four sets of house keys on May 20.

He then stopped at a petrol station and filled the car with £64.52 worth of diesel, before driving off without paying.

The 34-year-old was also convicted of driving the car without insurance or a licence.

Reay was ordered to pay £95 in victim surcharges and £135 in costs by Wolverhampton magistrates.

A man from Oldbury has been fined for drink driving.

Kasius Richards of Grafton Road drove a Nissan on April 18 on Wilmington Road before a positive breath test showed he had consumed 23 microgrammes of alcohol over the legal limit.

The 35-year-old was fined £80 and disqualified from driving for 12 months by Dudley magistrates.

A man from Kingswinford has pleaded guilty to assault.

Lee Hancox of Charterfield Drive assaulted an individual on May 22 and stole electrical goods from Aldi in Kingsiwnford.

He was ordered to pay £95 to fund victim services and £135 in costs.

In a separate charge Hancox failed to comply with a previous community order that placed him on a curfew at his address.

The 30-year-old was handed a further community order for the breach and drug dependency treatment.

A woman from Wollaston has been fined after drink driving.

Lisa Johnson of Vicarage Road drove a motor on Merry Hill Shopping Centre on April 29 before a positive breath test showed she had consumed 52 microgrammes of alcohol over the legal limit.

The 38-year-old was fined £346 and disqualified from driving for 18 months.
