A WANTED Dudley man who had been on the run for years has been caught by police.
Craig Thompson was wanted for robbery and serious assault.
He was caught by Rowley Regis and Tipton police who chased him for 30 minutes and was finally apprehended with the help of police dogs on Friday (June 4).
Rowley Police tweeted: "This male had been on the run from police for several years.
"After receiving fresh information from members of the public and a 30 min foot chase followed by deployment of @WMPDogs he was caught."
Sergeant Cheryl Reed, neighbourhood police officer in Rowley, tweeted: "One in Custody. Absolute top work of Rowley Neighbourhood team!

An appeal was put out in 2019 to find him after he failed to attend court following a serious assault in the borough and a robbery in Sandwell in 2017.
He was 46 then.
