POLICE say they have stepped up patrols in Sedgley this weekend after reports on social media of youths throwing stones at passing cars.
A dispersal order was also put in place for 48 hours from 3pm on Friday June 11 - giving officers powers to direct anyone to leave the area whose behaviour is likely to cause alarm, harassment or distress.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "We take reports of anti-social behaviour very seriously, particularly where that behaviour could cause harm to others."
Anyone with information or CCTV/dash cam footage which could help officers to catch those responsible is urged to contact police via Live Chat on the force website or call 101, or Crimestoppers (anonymously) on 0800 555 111.
