A DISPERSAL order has been put in place by police to curb anti social behaviour in Dudley.

There have been increased reports of anti social behaviour on and around Roseland playing fields in Kates Hill.

From today (July 15) until Saturday (July 17) at 2:57pm, police have the power to legally tell people in groups of two or more people to leave the area and not return to it if they do anything wrong or if police think they will cause a nuisance.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said the order will allow people to use the park safely and in peace. The spokesperson added: "We’re working with the council and others for longer-term solutions.

"Housing officials will evict people who break their contracts by causing a nuisance to their neighbours.

"If you know who’s casing the problems in the area and if you want to see the problems end, chat to us on our website west-midlands.police.uk or call 101."
