A TALENTED Dudley schoolgirl has landed a prestigious role dancing with the English Youth Ballet.

Tiana Homer, aged 13 of Dudley Wood Road, has been cast in a production of The Nutcracker at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre in September.

It is the third time she has secured a role with the dance company - although Covid meant last year's performances were postponed.

The Ormiston Forge Academy pupil will take to the stage on Friday September 3 and Saturday September 4.

She also performed with the Birmingham Royal Ballet when she was younger, and has just taken her grade five ballet exam.

Mum Jayne said: "We are very proud of her, and are also lucky her school is always really supportive of her.

"I'd like to thank her dance school, the Jordon School of Dance and Performing Arts, where her teachers Donna and Joanne have been wonderful.

"I'll be going to all of the shows and I'm really looking forward to it!"

Tiana has now begun her training and rehearsals ahead of her September performances.
