TV comic Nina Conti is to take centre stage for a night of stand-up comedy in Brierley Hill this Friday, with a few tickets still available.

Conti, as seen on Live At The Apollo, is famed for using human audience members as ventriloquist’s dummies.

She is topping the bill at Brierley Hill Civic Hall on Friday August 30 for the latest instalment of Live At The Civic, with Stephen Bailey and Andy Robinson in support and Wayne Beese hosting as MC.

Beese, from Dudley, said: “The show has had to be rescheduled four times due to Covid – so we’re delighted that we are finally going to be able to put it on.

“We have been trying to get Nina on one of our Funny Beeseness bills for years, she is a world-class ventriloquist and amazingly funny. The audience are going to absolutely love her.

“In addition we’ve got Stephen Bailey, who people might know off the telly from the likes of Celebs on the Farm and Takeshi’s Castle, and regular Glee Club compere Andy Robinson from up the road in Oldbury.

“So it’s a really high-class line up. We’ve still got a few tickets left so would urge anyone at a loose end to get booked up and come and join us.”

Tickets for the show are £21 and available online at www.funnybeeseness.co.uk.
