A BID to convert and extend a Dudley house into eight flats has been given the thumbs up.
The proposal to build onto the existing house and into the garden at 26, Parkway Road, has been granted outline approval.
The application, from the homeowner, is to create up to eight self-contained flats.
A report by council planners states: "The proposed development would see the conversion of the existing dwelling and extensions (two storey side and rear) to create residential development for up to 8 dwellings (self-contained flats)."
There would be two one-bed flats on each of the three floors.
A private road accessed off Parkway Road, which would lead to ten parking spaces, would be created.
The report states: "The principle of residential use, the layout, appearance, scale and access of the proposed development are considered to be acceptable.
"Neighbours amenity and street scene are not considered to be detrimentally affected."
A proposal to build a house on the land next to the existing house was turned down in 2020 after planners said it did not provide sufficient parking spaces and would lead to cars parking on the road.
