THREE people have been seriously injured after a multiple car crash on Shaw Lane in Dudley last night.
The crash involving three cars happened just before 8pm.
A woman, in a passenger in one of the cars, received advanced trauma care on scene and was conveyed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for further treatment.
Another three casualties, including a child, were conveyed to Russells Hall Hospital, two sustaining potential serious injuries.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 7.53pm to reports of a road traffic collision involving three cars at the junction of Shaw Road and New Road in Dudley.
“Three ambulances, two paramedic officers and a MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic attended the scene. On arrival, we found four patients.
“The first, a woman, a passenger in one of the cars, was assessed and had sustained serious injuries, she received advanced trauma care on scene and was conveyed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham for further treatment.
“The second, a man, the driver of one of the cars, was assessed and had sustained potentially serious injuries. The third, a child, a passenger in a stationary car, was assessed and had sustained potentially serious injuries.
“The fourth, the driver of the stationary car, a woman, was assessed and had injuries not believed to be life threatening. They were conveyed to Russells Hall Hospital for further assessment.”
Eight firefighters from Dudley Fire Station attended the incident.

Motorists were urged to find alternative routes as Shaw Road was closed for some time.
