A TEENAGE girl has been taken to hospital with serious head injuries after the car she was travelling in hit a tram in Wolverhampton this morning (September 16).
The driver of the car has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving and was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.
A passenger on the tram also received minor injuries.
The collision happened around 6.30am in Bilston Street and roads have been closed while emergency services are at the scene.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “We are speaking to witnesses and exploring CCTV to establish how the collision happened.
