SIX men have been charged in connection with the deaths of two young brothers in a collision on Birmingham New Road, Wolverhampton.

Sanjay, aged 10 and 23-month-old Pawanveer Singh were with their mother in their BMW turning right into Lawnswood Avenue, when they were struck by a blue Audi S3 at around 8.45pm on March 14, 2019.

The driver of the Audi fled the scene on foot.

The mother was taken to hospital with serious injuries but the two boys were sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Mohammed Sullaiman Khan, aged 25, of Pershore Road, Edgbaston, is charged with two counts of death by dangerous driving.

A second man, Hamza Shahid, aged 34, of Newbridge Road, Birmingham, is charged with dangerous driving.

Two other men Mohammed Adil Khan, aged 33, of Newnham Road, Edgbaston and Mohammed Asim Khan, aged 34, of Shaftmoor Lane, HallGreen are charged with perverting the course of justice.

A further two men, Rashane Henry, aged 30 of Fairway Green, Bilston, Wolverhampton and Tejinder Singh aged 29, of Babors Field, Bilston, Wolverhampton are charged with assisting an offender.

All six are due to appear before Dudley Magistrates Court on September 30.
